SimplyQR Privacy Policy

Data We Collect

1. Camera

SimplyQR requires access to your device camera solely to scan QR codes. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never stored or transmitted.

2. Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

We collect anonymous crash and error data to improve app stability. This may include:

• Device model and OS version
• App version
• Stack traces at the time of a crash

This data does not include personally identifiable information (PII).

3. Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how the app is used. This may include:

• App open/close events
• General device information (OS version, country)

This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• The content of any QR code you scan
• Your location
• Your contacts, messages, or any other personal data
• Any data entered or processed via system intents (browser, dialer, email, etc.)

Third-Party Services

SimplyQR uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — Analytics & Crashlytics
• ZXing (Zebra Crossing) — On-device QR code scanning (no data leaves the device)

Permissions

• CAMERA: Required to scan QR codes

Children's Privacy

SimplyQR does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above.
