Data We Collect
The App stores only the data you enter, such as:
Bills
- Bill name, category, and optional note
- Amount (billed, actual, and amount paid)
- Due date
- Bill type (regular or credit card)
- Recurrence period (one-time, weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Payment status, partial payments, carry-forward balance, and related flags
Expenses
- Expense name, amount, category, date, and optional note
Settings
- Monthly salary (used locally to calculate budget usage — never transmitted)
- Currency preference and notification preferences
The App also collects limited, non-personal data to help improve stability and understand usage:
- App interactions and screens viewed (analytics)
- Crash reports and error diagnostics (Crashlytics)
- Basic device and app info (device model, OS version, app version)
- A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token, used solely to deliver bill-reminder push notifications to your device
How We Use Data
Your data is used only to:
- Show your bill list and details
- Calculate due dates, statuses, and carry-forward balances
- Track monthly expenses by category and display spending breakdowns
- Compare your monthly expenses against your salary budget
- Schedule and display local and push bill reminders
- Improve app stability and understand feature usage
Data Storage
Your bill data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. Analytics, crash diagnostics, and your FCM device token are sent to Firebase (Google) for processing. Your FCM token is used only to route push notifications to your device and is not linked to your identity. Learn more about how Firebase handles data here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Sharing and Third Parties
The App does not sell, share, or rent your bill data to third parties. The App uses the following Firebase (Google) services:
- Firebase Analytics — usage and screen-view data
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports and error diagnostics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push bill reminders
Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- Notifications: to display local and push bill reminders (upcoming and overdue buckets delivered separately)
- Battery optimization exemption (Android): to ensure bill reminders are delivered reliably when the app is in the background. Without this, some devices may delay or block push notifications. This permission is requested only when you enable notifications and is never used to run background processes unrelated to bill reminders.
You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Disabling notifications will prevent bill reminders from being shown. You can also revoke the battery optimization exemption at any time via your device's Battery settings without affecting any other app functionality.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. You can also clear the App's storage via your device settings.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be made available with the App.
